When All the Masks Fall… Why Does the Heart Turn to One Creator?

The Faith That Appears Suddenly

Imagine a person who never cares about religion.

01

He lives his life busy with work, money, and success.

02

He rarely thinks about God or religion.

03

But suddenly something serious happens.

A sudden accident…

A severe illness…

Or a moment when he feels that his life is in danger.

At that moment many people do something remarkable.

They raise their hands instinctively and say:

“God… save me.”

Even those who were not religious.

Even those who used to say that they do not believe.

Why does this happen?

The Fitrah That Never Disappears

Islam explains this phenomenon in a very profound way.

When the human being was created, he was created with an innate awareness of his Creator.

This awareness is not merely an idea that he learned.

It is part of his human nature.

But life sometimes fills the heart with distractions and noise.

Work…

Problems…

Traditions…

Ideas that a person learns from society.

All these things may cover the voice of the fitrah.

But they cannot erase it.

Why Does the Fitrah Appear in Moments of Danger?

When a person faces extreme danger, something important happens.

All the masks fall.

Traditions disappear.

Social expectations disappear.

Ideas learned from people disappear.

And the human being is left alone with the truth.

At that moment the heart returns to what it knows deep inside:

that there is one Creator who can save him.

That is why the heart turns to Him instinctively.

The Truth the Heart Already Knows

If you ask a person who lives far from religion:

Do you believe this vast universe exists without a Creator?

Most people hesitate before answering.

Because something inside them tells them that this universe cannot exist without a Creator.

The precise order of the universe…

The constant laws of nature…

The astonishing balance of life…

All of this points to the existence of a wise Creator behind the universe.

Why Do Religions Differ Then?

If human nature leads people toward belief in God, why do beliefs differ among people?

The reason is that the fitrah can be influenced by the environment in which a person grows up.

A child is born with a pure heart.

But the society around him teaches him different beliefs and traditions.

That is why most people follow the religion in which they were born.

But when a person begins to think sincerely, he may discover that the truth is deeper than the traditions he inherited.

Islam: A Message That Reminds the Fitrah

Islam does not tell a person that he must create a new faith.

Instead it says something very different: the faith already exists within you.

Islam only came to awaken this faith.

To remind the human being of the truth that his heart has known from the beginning.

The truth that this universe has one Creator.

The Journey of Honest Searching

At some stage in life, every person begins a journey to search for the truth.

Some people ignore these questions.

But others decide to search sincerely.

And when a person searches with an open mind and an honest heart, he may discover that the truth he is looking for is not far away.

It is the truth that was always within him.

The truth of the fitrah.

Faith in the One God.
