How do you begin the journey to finding the One God?

How do you begin the journey to finding the One God? Sincere steps for one who seeks the truth… Does the path toward God begin with heavy books? Or with debates and complex doctrines? The truth is simpler than we imagine. The journey of monotheism begins from within… from an honest question a person asks himself, not others.

Here is a simple, deep, and clear guide… for one who sincerely seeks the One God.

01

1- The beginning is not in burden… but in an honest question Every spiritual journey begins with a quiet moment. A person asks himself without fear or pressure: “Am I living my life directed toward one power? Or is my heart divided among many directions?” This question alone reveals much.

True searching does not begin with argument, but with a sincere desire to know the truth, and with readiness to change inwardly when the vision becomes clear.

2- Understanding the meaning of “One God” as it is… without complication Monotheism in Islam is not a philosophical puzzle. It is a very simple meaning: One God who deserves worship. And everything else is created and not to be worshiped.

A person does not need to direct: His supplication to stones, His hope to humans, His fear to nature, His reliance to stars or planets… Worship — in all its forms — is directed to One only. This concept shortens the path and speaks directly to human nature.

3- Learning the basics from the “source” and not from complexity The Qur’an affirms that the path to God begins with correct knowledge: “So know that there is no god but God…” (47:19) The beginning here is knowledge, not superstition. Clarity, not symbols.

Direct understanding from the words of the Creator, not human philosophy that changes over time.

4-A decisive separation between the Creator and the creation The journey of monotheism removes the greatest confusion into which humanity has fallen throughout history: The Creator is not part of the universe… nor is the universe part of Him. He is above everything. Separate from the creation.

He does not dwell in it, nor does it dwell in Him. This separation allows a person to see clearly: Nature is beautiful… but it is not a god. The sun is amazing… but it is created. Humans are powerful… but limited. The true One… is above all.

5- When you know whom you turn to… the practical path begins Ask yourself: When you are afraid… on whom do you rely? When you are in need… whom do you call? When all means collapse… to whom do you turn? Monotheism makes the answer one. The need for intermediaries falls away. The search for multiple gods ends.

The relationship becomes direct between you and God. This alone changes life.

6- Monotheism is not a burden… but freedom When your heart stops attaching itself to created beings, You discover something remarkable: True freedom is not in rejecting God… but in knowing the true God alone. When the heart worships One only: It fears no one above Him. It hopes in no power besides Him. It is not scattered.

It is not confused. It is not contradictory. This is the simplest formula for inner peace.

7- The fall of intermediaries… the return to human nature In many religions, you need: An intermediary A priest An idol A secondary force A lesser god An intermediate spirit But monotheism tells you: “Raise your heart directly… there is no one between you and God.” This is the closeness every human being seeks.

8- The path is not a network of symbols… but profound clarity The journey of monotheism does not require: Secret rituals Mysterious layers Contradictory philosophies Multiple idols Intermediaries It requires: Sincerity A seeking heart A mind that wants truth A desire for clarity, not escape

9- Then the transformation happens… When faith in One God settles firmly: The compass becomes clear. Life becomes upright. Fear turns into trust. Loss turns into meaning. Old confusion ends. All the prophets, across thousands of years, came with the same idea: “And to ‘Aad [We sent] their brother Hud.

He said: O my people, worship God; you have no god other than Him. You are nothing but fabricators.” (11:50) One message… constant… unchanging.

10- A conclusion that resembles a moment of honesty The journey of monotheism is not a shift between cultures. Nor is it choosing a new religion to please someone. It is a journey “toward the origin”… toward the One God.

And the real question from which everything begins is: Is my heart — with all its hope, fear, and direction — devoted sincerely to One God alone? If this question is born sincerely… The journey has already begun.
