Why Does a Person Never Feel Satisfied No Matter How Much He Gains?
A young man runs daily in pursuit of money and status. He thought he would rest after promotion… Then after buying a house… Then after stability… But rest never came. Psychology calls this: Hedonic Adaptation. You obtain something. You feel joy briefly. Then you return to the same feeling. The heart remains thirsty no matter how much it drinks.
🔹 Islam Does Not Fight the World… It Puts It in Its Proper Size The Prophet ﷺ said: “Be in this world as though you were a stranger or a traveler.” Not a call to withdraw from life… But a call not to attach yourself to what is temporary. When you know the world is a station — not a permanent home — you can live in it without fear.
🔹 Why Does Attachment to the World Exhaust the Human Being? Because the world: Changes Fades Is taken away Is lost When the heart is fully attached to it, any loss becomes collapse. But when the heart is attached to what cannot be taken or lost… a person becomes stronger.
“🔹 A Question That Reorders Life If you were given two choices: A complete worldly life without meaning Or a life with effort… but leading to eternal purpose Which would you choose? Islam says: You can have both — Live in this world, without losing the Hereafter.
