Fitrah and Reason Say the Same Thing: Why the Universe Cannot Have More Than One God

A Simple Question That Changes Everything Imagine that you are walking in a vast desert, and suddenly you find a beautiful and well-organized house. Rooms are arranged neatly, furniture is organized, food is ready, and everything is in its place. Can you say that this house appeared by chance? Of course not.

Your mind immediately says: someone built it. Now look at the universe around you. The sun rises with astonishing precision. The earth rotates at a calculated speed. The moon moves in a stable orbit. The physical laws operate with perfect consistency. This universe is far greater than any house or city.

01

So how could it exist without a Creator? Both the human fitrah and reason testify that this universe has a wise Creator. What If the Universe Had More Than One God? Now let us ask a deeper question. If there were more than one god governing the universe… what would happen?

02

Imagine a single city ruled by several kings, each wanting his own decisions to be carried out. Would the city remain stable? Or would chaos spread everywhere? The answer is obvious. Order cannot continue if there is more than one absolute authority. "Had there been within them [i.e.

03

, the heavens and earth] gods besides Allah, they both would have been ruined. So exalted is Allah, Lord of the Throne, above what they describe..

[Quran 21:22] The precise order of the universe clearly points to one reality: there is only one Creator who governs this universe. Why Does the Human Heart Feel Peace with One God? Notice something important within yourself. When a person thinks about one God who has complete power, he feels inner peace.

But when he imagines many gods with different powers, the mind becomes confused. Whom should I ask for help? Who has the final authority? Who actually created me? "Allah has not taken any son, nor has there ever been with Him any deity.

[If there had been], then each deity would have taken what it created, and some of them would have [sought to] overcome others. Exalted is Allah above what they describe [concerning Him]. " [Quran 23:91] Human nature always prefers simplicity and clarity. That is why the idea of one God fits the human heart more than any other belief.

Why Did People Worship Many Gods Throughout History? Someone may ask: if human nature inclines toward one God, why did people worship many gods? The answer is simple. Over time people may drift away from their original nature because of traditions passed down in society.

People may begin by honoring a righteous person… Then that honor turns into reverence… And reverence slowly turns into worship. In this way many gods appear. But when a person reflects honestly, he realizes that such gods cannot be the Creator of the universe.

Fitrah Returns in Moments of Danger Think about something that happens to all human beings. When a person faces extreme danger, such as drowning or a sudden disaster, what does he do? At that moment he forgets complicated ideas. He calls upon one God only. Even someone who worships many gods turns his heart toward one Creator in that moment.

This behavior is not coincidence. It is evidence that the deep fitrah within the human being knows the truth. Islam Returns Humanity to the Simplicity of Truth Islam does not present a complicated philosophy. Nor does it ask people to worship hundreds of gods or spirits.

It presents the truth in the simplest form: One God created the entire universe. He is the One who created you. He is the One who hears you. He is the One who knows what is in your heart. You do not need an intermediary between you and Him. You do not need statues or complicated rituals. You can turn to Him directly.

The Truth That Awaits Your Decision In the end, the real question remains for every human being: Can this great universe exist without a Creator? And can it have several creators? When a person answers honestly, the truth becomes clear: there is one God who created everything. This truth is not only what Islam teaches.

It is the fitrah that your heart has known since the day you were born.
