To Whom Does the Heart Truly Attach?

Every human being attaches to something:

Wealth

01

Success

02

People

03

Fame

Power

But all these things:

Change

Diminish

Are lost

Die

That is why the heart becomes exhausted when it attaches itself to what fades away.

Human Nature

The human being is created always searching for someone to rely on,

And searching for someone who grants meaning and stability.

That is why every human being – consciously or unconsciously – worships something.

But worshiping other than God leads to:

Fear of losing what one is attached to,

Anxiety,

Unhealthy attachment to people,

A constant feeling of نقص or threat.

Why Does Islam Call to Worship Allah Alone?

For a simple reason:

Because Allah is perfect, does not change, does not perish, and does not disappoint.

He needs nothing from you,

And His dominion does not increase through your obedience,

But worshiping Him grants your heart:

Stability,

Tranquility,

Freedom from fear of people,

Liberation from harmful attachment.

The Difference Between Respect and Worship

Respecting the righteous and the prophets is commendable,

But turning them into a source of hope or fear

Is a shift from respect… to worship.

And Islam clearly draws this line.

Conclusion

The heart attaches either to what fades… and becomes weary.

Or to what does not fade… and finds stability.

That is why Islam calls for directing worship to Allah alone,

Because this alone frees the human being from worshiping anything else.
