Confucianism… When Man Tries to Create Light with His Own Hands

Imagine a vast civilization… awakening thousands of years ago in search of order, harmony, and a path to regulate life… yet without ever receiving a single word of revelation.

That is Confucianism:

01

The greatest human attempt to manufacture virtue… in a world without revelation, without a message, and without a promise.

02

1. The Lord of Heaven… An Existence Without a Voice

03

Confucians believe in a “Supreme Heaven,” yet this deity — in their conception — speaks to no one, sends no messenger, reveals nothing of Himself, and provides no revelation or law.

He exists… but remains distant and veiled behind rituals performed only by the king.

As for the common people?

They have lesser gods: the god of the earth, the god of the mountain, the god of the sun, the god of the moon… deities to whom sacrifices are offered without clear foundation or proof.

An entire civilization…

building its relationship with the Creator without a single word from the Creator.

2. When the Past Becomes a Religion: Ancestor Veneration

In every home, a small altar… pictures, statues, incense sticks… offerings presented to the spirits of ancestors.

They speak to them, seek their help, and draw near to them through rituals.

Yet… despite all this reverence, the Confucian does not know what happens to souls after death.

No Paradise…

No Hell…

No judgment.

It is a religion that reveres death… without understanding it.

3. Confucius… A Great Sage, But Without Revelation

Confucius did not claim to be a prophet.

He did not claim contact with Heaven.

He carried no divine message.

He revealed no scripture.

He was simply searching for a “possible virtuous city”:

Courtesy, order, a respectful family, a just ruler, truthful speech, upright conduct.

Yet however great his wisdom… it remained human wisdom.

Human beings change, forget, err, incline, and are influenced.

Thus Confucianism remained strong in ethics… weak in creed.

4. A World Without an Afterlife… How Then Is Justice Fulfilled?

The most serious idea in Confucianism: there is no life after death.

No resurrection.

No Paradise.

No Hell.

No Day of Judgment.

All reward and punishment… occur here only.

The righteous are rewarded in this world, and sinners are punished through earthquakes and disasters.

But what about the tyrant who dies wealthy?

What about the oppressed who is buried without justice?

Who restores justice?

Who holds the tyrants accountable?

If the story ends with death… where is justice?

A great civilization… yet without an answer to the greatest question:

Why do we live? And where are we going?

5. The Ruler… Son of Heaven Until Heaven Is Angered

The king is considered the “Son of Heaven,” authorized by the supreme deity.

But if he becomes unjust, Heaven “withdraws the mandate” and allows the people to remove him.

A vague equation:

No revelation,

No messenger,

No divine command…

Yet he is still “Son of Heaven.”

It may be political philosophy… but it is not a true spiritual relationship with God.

6. Ethics… The Greatest Strength of Confucianism

In the absence of revelation and resurrection, Confucianism made morality the center of the universe.

Filial piety, respect for elders, loyalty, honesty, refinement, moderation, discipline of behavior.

Noble values… yet they remain human effort, not divine revelation.

Morality elevates man… but it does not provide him with a path to the Creator.

Morality alone does not tell you:

Who created the universe?

Why were you created?

What is your destiny?

What does God want from you?

These questions are answered only by a revealed religion.

God Almighty says:

“Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam. And those who were given the Scripture did not differ except after knowledge had come to them — out of envy among themselves. And whoever disbelieves in the verses of Allah — then indeed, Allah is swift in account.”

(Qur’an 3:19)

7. Knowledge Without Certainty… The Sacred Without a Source

Confucian books are many:

Books of rituals, history, philosophy, hymns…

Yet not a single book claims to be from God.

Not a single book says, “Thus says God.”

Not one word from Heaven.

Everything is human wisdom, cultural heritage, civilizational experience, ancestral legacy.

Ethical? Yes.

Inspiring? Perhaps.

But not a religion from God — and that is the crucial point.

8. The Question That Shook China Through the Centuries

After all the sacrifices, altars, rituals, royal decrees, and moral philosophy…

one question remains unanswered:

What does the deity truly want from us?

Does He want these rituals?

These morals?

Is He pleased with humanity?

Does He forgive them?

Does He punish them?

Where is the truth?

It is a beautiful human effort… that did not reach God.

Conclusion

There is no absolute evil in Confucianism, no corruption, no hostility to virtue.

Rather, it contains goodness, refinement, wisdom, and order.

But in its essence —

It is an ethical philosophy without revelation.

A creed without an afterlife.

Rituals without a message.

A religion without true connection to God.

And so…

whoever searches for truth eventually realizes that man cannot know the path to God

unless God speaks to him, sends His messengers, reveals His Book, and informs him of what He wills.
