The Mystery of the Emptiness in the Human Heart: Why the World Cannot Give Us Peace
The Puzzle of the Modern Human
In the big cities of the world, a strange scene repeats itself again and again.
People who have money…
People who have fame…
People who have powerful positions…
“Moments of Honesty with Oneself
There are moments in a person’s life when he becomes completely honest with himself.
Perhaps at night when he is alone.
Or when he loses someone he loves.
Or when he goes through a difficult experience in life.
In those moments, deep questions begin to appear:
What is the meaning of my life?
Why am I here?
What will happen after death?
These questions are not weakness.
They are evidence that the fitrah inside you is still alive.
Why Faith Brings Inner Peace
Faith in the One God answers these questions clearly.
Life is not meaningless, and the human being was not created without a purpose.
He was created to know his Creator and to worship Him.
When a person truly knows his Lord, a remarkable sense of peace begins to enter his heart.
A peace that does not depend on money or circumstances, but on knowing that this universe has a wise Creator and that your life has meaning.
Returning to the Fitrah
Islam does not ask a person to become someone else.
It simply invites him to return to his original nature.
The nature that knows this universe has one God.
The nature that searches for truth.
The nature that longs for real inner peace.
That is why many people, when they discover Islam, feel something unusual.
It is as if they have found something they had been searching for their entire lives.
Not because Islam changed their nature…
But because it returned them to their true nature.
To the fitrah.
(So whoever Allah wants to guide – He expands his breast to [contain] Islam; and whoever He wants to send astray – He makes his breast tight and constricted as though he were climbing into the sky. Thus does Allah place defilement upon those who do not believe.)
Surah Al-An‘am (6:125)
