Relationships.
Success… or failure.
As if everything you see now is the complete story.
But let’s pause for a moment.
Is it logical…
That a life this complex…
With all its injustices sometimes…
And with all these unfinished endings…
Could just be a fleeting scene with no continuation?
Why doesn’t this life seem complete?
Look around you.
Someone was wronged… and wasn’t given justice.
Another lived for goodness… and was not rewarded.
A third corrupted… and lived in luxury.
If this were the end… where is the justice?
The innate nature within humans rejects this.
You feel that something is missing.
That the story isn’t over yet.
The Quran Reveals the Truth That Many Overlook
The Quran does not view this world as a separate stage.
It clearly says: this is just the beginning… not the end.
A short life…
Followed by another life…
Longer… eternal… and more just.
Allah Almighty says:
{And this worldly life is not but diversion and amusement. And indeed, the home of the Hereafter – that is the [eternal] life, if only they knew.} [AL‑‘ANKABŪT: 64]
The real life… has not yet begun.
Why Does the Quran Always Connect This World to the Hereafter?
Because if you separate the two… everything loses its meaning.
Goodness becomes worthless if it’s not rewarded.
Injustice becomes meaningless if it’s not punished.
Patience becomes futile if it’s not rewarded.
But when you connect this world to the Hereafter… everything changes.
Every decision carries weight.
Every action has an impact.
Every moment becomes meaningful.
This World Is a Test… Not a Permanent Stay
The Quran gives a clear definition of life: it’s not a place of stability… but a place of testing.
Allah Almighty says:
{[He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed – and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving –} [AL‑MULK: 2]
You are here for a reason.
Everything you go through… is not random.
It’s part of a test that reveals: who follows the truth… and who follows their desires.
Why Don’t We See All the Results Now?
Because this is not the stage of reckoning.
