Can All This Universe Exist Without a Cause?

Imagine you entered a room and found in it: a precisely crafted watch. It works flawlessly, and all its parts are perfectly coordinated.

Would the first idea that comes to your mind be: “This watch made itself”?

01

Or would you immediately say: “There must be a maker”?

A Simple Rational Rule

03

The human mind operates according to a basic rule: everything that has a beginning… has a cause.

This rule is not only religious, but the foundation of all sciences.

Science as a whole is built upon searching for: the cause of disease, the cause of a phenomenon, the cause of an explosion, the cause of a reaction.

Science does not say: “It happened without a cause,” but always asks: “What is the cause?”

What About the Universe Itself?

Modern physics, especially after the Big Bang theory, indicates that the universe has a beginning.

Physicists have confirmed that the universe has a beginning.

If the universe has a beginning… the mind immediately asks: who brought about this beginning?

Can Something Create Itself?

This is like saying: a child gave birth to himself, or a book wrote itself.

The idea that something creates itself contains a clear logical contradiction.

Because before something exists… it does not exist at all.

So how can it create itself while it is nonexistent?

In Islam: Allah is not part of the universe, nor matter, nor energy.

Rather, He is: the Creator of the universe, outside of it, and not dependent on it.

Therefore, it is not asked: who created Allah?

Because the question itself assumes that Allah is created, while the basic definition of Allah is that He is: the uncreated Creator.

A Simple Question

If everything in our lives needs a cause… why do we exempt the entire universe from this rule?
