From the Child to the Animal Ethics That Do Not Fragment

1- How is mercy measured

It is easy to be merciful with the strong

01

But true mercy appears with those who possess no power

02

Children by nature hold no authority

03

Animals cannot protest

The environment does not speak

Here the hidden standard of any civilization appears

2- With children

Muhammad ﷺ

Did not see the child as a being of lesser value

But as a human being with full dignity

He carried them

He played with them

He shortened the prayer if he heard a child crying out of mercy for the mother

During one prostration his grandson climbed onto his back

He prolonged the prostration until he gently came down

He did not consider the moment an inconvenience

But a human moment

These small details reveal a profound understanding of childhood

Not a marginal stage

But a value in itself

3- With animals

In an environment where harshness toward animals was normal

He brought a clear principle kindness is an obligation

He forbade harming them and commanded giving them rest

He made mercy toward them a cause for the pleasure of God

This was not merely environmental regulation

But a moral dimension

Even the being that does not speak has a right

4- With place and inanimate surroundings

He respected places

He maintained cleanliness

He considered the road a trust

Dealing with the environment was not consumption

But responsibility

This vision surpassed his time

And approached a highly advanced environmental awareness

5- What does this model reveal

That the message was not only grand slogans

But repeated daily details

A person is known in the details

Mercy that is not selective

Not used for display

But flowing from a comprehensive vision of existence
